Aegean Boat Report

August 19

A boat carrying approximately 34 people, many of them small children, was pushed back by Greek coast guard north west of Molivos, Lesvos north this morning.

They said that Greek coast guard stopped them, cut their petrol hose, and left them drifting. Greek and Turkish coast guard was in the area, but did not help. They drifted for hours until Turkish coast guard picked them up.

The HCG vessel from Molivos, Nr 602 and 615 was involved in the pushback, I suggest that you call port police Mytilíni if you have any questions.

Port police will deny any involvement, but we all know they are lying.

Greek coast guard once again puts people’s lives at risk, leaving them drifting helpless in the sea at night. This time it was the Greek coast guard based on the island of Lesvos, who had left them at sea. It’s time that we tell them what we think about it, it’s time for them to explain!

These violations of international laws and human rights has been going on for to long, blessed and financed by Europe. The presence of NATO and FRONTEX is massive in the Aegean Sea, they all know what is going on every single day, but they do nothing, they just watch.

It’s time we make them listen, it’s time to step up and demand answers, it’s time for YOU to take action!!

Call port police of Lesvos, tell them how you feel, make your voice heard!

Turkish authorities reported the people to be picked up by @HCoastGuard vessel ΛΣ 602. However, they finally ended up in inflatable life rafts. A similar story reportedly happened to a boat South of #Lesvos. The people are back in Turkey now. These criminal acts have to stop!

At 06:24, a distress call came to a boat carrying 34 migrants in the middle of the sea. They said that a Greek guard took gasoline from them and pushed them to the Turkish side.  And they said that the water is entering the boat.  Meanwhile, one of those on the boat made a live broadcast on the internet.  A small portion spoke in French trying to make their voice heard, and they seemed to be upset about what happened to them.  At the same time, the Turkish Coast Guard was informed and rescued
